But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)
Jesus Christ is acquainted with ALL of our possible grievances. There was no greater wounded deity in all time than Jesus Christ, and that which He bore for us on the cross at Galgotha, He took upon Himself ALL the sins of the world, and in effect died for our transgressions. To a degree, we must be able to identify with the wounded Heart to better understand God. If Adam and Eve did not choose so poorly, then this is a certain knowledge or virtue we would not have need to feel.
We in essence are a tripartite being: Body, Soul, and Spirit. We may choose whom we love ever so deeply and whom not so deeply, but it is just the deepest wounds that hurt the most, wounds have left me barely alive, barely dead, bleeding Heart from within with little or no closure at all, and ever seem to be a reality as I face each day.
Wounded of the Heart, there can be no greater love knelt wound than the wound of the Heart, it reaches the point where one can hardly seemingly see more light for a blessed future in want, as light seems to fade, left in the dark of the Heart.
Wounds carry such weight and come in so many various depths, leaving one scarred and marred, molded, and scolded by the bitterly betraying savage cruelty of mankind, the most vicious of its kind, as you can imagine the utter hatred the Jewish council spewed out in order for Pontius Pilate to crucify Christ. I mean, this was a great crowd standing there screaming to release Barabas in the stead of the Lord.
From the betrayal of Judas Iscariot to the cross, Jesus never harbored hatred. Jesus, the stone that the builders rejected, became the chief cornerstone.
Jesus Christ is the whole and complete embodiment of True Love. I want to take you to a scene at the cross if I may. Jesus barely alive brings His first soul to redemption right there and then on the spot; there can’t possibly be a better deity or example of Love than that of Jesus Christ.
We know our Lord died with two allotted sinners; there was no other means of escape than following its full course…death. The one man cussed the Lord stating, if you are the Christ why not save yourself and us from the tree, but here, so beautifully the other allotted sinner reached out to Jesus and said: “Lord, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom”, Jesus responded: “Today you will be with me in Paradise”……….WOW!!!!
If this doesn’t blow you away, then I don’t know what shall.
This allotted sinner was crucified with Christ, what an honor, being crucified with Christ. I can’t imagine the Faith and insight the other allotted sinner had, hanging there suspended next to Christ our Lord.
Can you imagine Christ asking the Father to forgive the children of Israel, for they do not know what they do? Jesus Christ was born in the Holy City of David, Bethlehem. Herod the Great killed all the Jewish boys up to two years of age. Here is the first attempt of Satan trying to destroy the Messiah promised.
A cry was heard in Rama, great weeping and lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children, but she would not be comforted, for they were no more. Jesus grew up in Nazareth working as a carpenter, as was the case with Joseph; we can then assume this trade skill was transferred from Joseph to Jesus. Can you only imagine, Jesus carrying full knowledge of His birth and what He was to endure?
Jesus had more enemies than friends, mostly because He was one of the most controversial personalities of the time, challenging the precepts of the Jewish council, this is then the Pharisees. It was not a matter of disagreeing with Jesus, no, they hated Him with passion. We then know of two distinct persons, Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, fending for the Lord; these were good guys.
I love the part where Caiaphas, seeing that he was the high priest at the time said: “Better be it that one man die, than for the whole nation to perish”, without knowing he just prophesied how and why Christ would suffer death, for the nation Israel and to the utter parts of the world.
The wounded Heart stands slimly any chance of recovery. This cry from within has met its rival, Jesus Christ, who came to heal the brokenhearted, to set at liberty them that are abruised, to declare the acceptable year of the Lord. Do you fully grasp how beautiful God’s Heart is for us?
Why then the Heart?
This is the very reason why God deals in Hearts, not only has He got the capacitate to make your Heart whole again but then also to own it.
God will settle for no less than the whole heart, a halfhearted attempt is no measure of what God needs to work with. He needs your Heart, and all of it. Once we have come to terms with the lesser of us, the more of Him will render and give comfort in so much dire need of help.
For some, the wounded Heart left them buried six feet below, and yet some of you reading this article have given suicide serious thought. If you should take any advice, then take it from me.
For some, this message has come in season, and you must know, for God so loved you, that He sent His one and only Son to die for you, in order that you may have Life, and have it more abundantly.
The wounded ones, the carnage of the sufferers, a savatory onslaught of the wounded Heart. Pain comes in different degrees, we have one’s body that feels pain, why in all honesty shouldn’t the Heart also feel this apparent sense? It courses by one’s appearance, the inexpressively, expressively, every counted, collected tear, not a single one in waste.
There are many ways to discover God’s Goodness, one, the Word of God and then again in creation which includes us, but every flower of the field, every sunrise, every sunset, every crashing wave on the shore, the sea with all its intricate sealife inside, enough to blow us away. Consider this, we just will never be able to grasp or take in the majestic Glory of God’s creation in one lifetime, it is impossible.
For the life of me, I know nothing of the human anatomy, the inward workings of the human being, how we perceive life, our senses, the calculus of the brain chemistry, the epic center of humankind. I thank the Lord that I did not have to face the middle to dark ages. We live in a time of incredible breakthroughs for those practicing medicine.
Take a glance outside your window of pain and breathe in God’s majestic Hand of creation. Every single animal, bird, and insect has a different anatomy, even down to every living organism.
Consider the seasons in a year, so perfectly timed and calculated with not a single moment out of sync or in pause, perfectly calculated by a mastermind to its finest detail.
What am I attempting here? I am taking your focus off your pain, giving you medicine of the Heart, showing you, hey! God is amazing and wants only the best for us. We may not take our lives into our own hands. When a person commits suicide and dies, with effect the person takes their life out of God’s hands and ends their life by themselves, and this is always so very tragic.
Let me close with this, don’t ever quit on God, because God will never quit on us. Life is worth the living…I am in no sense suggesting you won’t feel pain, you will, just hand it to the Lord and let Him deal with it.
He will heal your so very broken Heart.
