Inward the wounded spirit lies, an echo in silence, a deep cry for help. The greater mass of the world is crying out for an answer to their pain.
This world is in pain and in need of a comforter, He has a name, and He is The Holy Spirit.
As we journey through life we collect good and bad memories, certain memories that are either conducive and others that are nonconducive to pain.
Some pain is triggered by either good or bad memories. Erasing these memories is not an easy feat whatsoever.
Maybe something said to you, maybe something said by you to another. Words carry such power, we can either make or break one another with our words, many are careless about the things they say, and it hurts.
I have learned from personal experience people can be so so cruel with their tongues, and make the most unbelievable statements and words.
Family members are broken apart or even excommunicated, because of words.
Just because of induced pain, whoever’s fault, please don’t vent on others, your words can hurt deeply. We should use our words constructively and not destructively.
Some of our pain is purely from the wrong style of choices we have made, and in a sense we simply can’t forgive ourselves for it. To this day, you hold on to the thought in mind of choices you have made that did not affect only you but those around you. And those you hurt will keep reminding you of that too.
Many try to medicate themselves with Benzo’s like sleeping tablets or painkillers, or some of the sort, some resort to hard drugs trying to escape the pain, life has become just too much.
Let’s talk about the pain that hurts the most, maybe you lost a loved one or had a miscarriage and many find solace in various ways, some of us are never, ever the same, period.
You may have a collection of either good or bad memories of the deceased, but never the least, it hurts, no matter how good or bad the person was. This leaves one scared and marred, molded by life, for the rest of one’s days.
We want good memories, joy, and much love, some find comfort in the wrong places, not to be condemned but our true source of comfort must come from God via people. As Christians we are a Light in the darkness, let your Light so shine! And give comfort and hope to the ones in pain.
It might be easy or hard to forgive, but the hardest feat is to forget. I have heard grown men crying about what their grandma or grandpa did or said when they were a child, it is unbelievable.
Some young adults don’t deserve to have children. I have personally witnessed photos, of a child, age two, bashed against the wall, both arms, and both legs broken, and other concussions and bruises on her body, why? Cause this child did not stop crying. We won’t even find this with animals. And a person who hates animals can’t love a child either, sorry!
This is a very sensitive subject, but just maybe you have never heard your daddy say: “I love you”. In a rehab, sitting with a young girl, I asked her; “Has your daddy ever said he loves you?” She said yes, “every time after he sexually abused me”. These are real people. People are in pain because some fool or idiot did stupid things. These kids will never, ever be the same, period.
We become the “product” of life by experiences we had in the past. People are shaped and formed into something obscene from their childhood dreams. These children did not have a well-deserved childhood and endured much pain and rejection.
I struggle to come to mind where a daddy can live with himself after abusing his child sexually, it blows my mind away. I have zero respect for these idiots, they destroy lives. The same goes for pedophiles, watching child porn and movies to gratify themselves.
Some have been so deeply and severely wounded by life and these people, that they hurt themselves to express their inward cry, whether it be by cutting themselves, also known as “bloodletting”, or by placing tattoos on one’s body, is a cry for help or attention.
Hurting others is a direct reason for previous hurts. These class-type persons have suffered severely and do not intentionally want to hurt others. We don’t know their story, for all that you know the “hurter” was abused by someone, maybe their parents.
One may also find that these people live in terrible situations and the only means to express their anger is to hurt others, wanting others in effect to feel their pain, so here we find the cry for help, no, they don’t want to hurt others, they want to be helped.
It is a cry for help and purely hurting others caused by pain imputed to them from some kind of childhood trauma or abuse.
It was said: “Holding onto a grudge or pain is drinking poison expecting the other person to die or suffer”.
It does not help anyone by any means to hurt anyone. The world “devil” is as evil as it can be. We have one another to embrace, to hold, to comfort, and to endure in love always.
As Christians, we are the Light of the World, why are we the Light? Because the world is in darkness, period. They that do good to another come to the Light, that their works might be proven that they were done in obedience to God, and they that do evil and hate people don’t come to the Light, lest their evil deeds be shown up openly.
Did you know that the most hated Person in the universe is God? Where He is supposed to be the most Loved Person. He is a Good God. Good is an understatement, He is simply amazing!
I have been in rehabs where people would express their deep hate for God by cursing Him. So, who is to blame? The blame game is one no one can win. Friend, make peace with the fact that this world is in a fallen state, and the devil has one job description and that is to:
a.) Kill
b.) Steal
c.) Destroy
The devil may try to swing this thing around and blame God for noted a,b and c. God did not take your child’s life or any loved one for that matter no, that is the devil’s job. Your next question would be: “Why does God then allow it?” Life happens, and God is not at all to blame for our own misfortune in life. It is the devil that kills, steals, and destroys, period. Not God.
Now when a person dies, it might be of old age, which is natural, but cancer and sickness are not from God and they claim millions of lives yearly, neither is it God at fault when a car slammed into your car and someone died. It was an accident, period. What about an airplane that crashes where hundreds die, this is quite simple to understand, the aircraft malfunctioned or due to pilot error.
Hurting yourself, one would find that this class-type person is hurting deeply and the only means to cry for help is to hurt themselves. As mentioned before, some do this by cutting themselves, also known as bloodletting.
I have personally spent over 860 days in mental rehabs, I know what I am talking about, I have met every sort you can imagine. Whether they are covered in tattoos or healed cut marks on their arms, I have had the opportunity to chat with these victims of pain with an inward cry for help.
Some refuse to eat, I had a girlfriend with anorexia an eating disorder where the person starve themselves to death, her name was Mia, and she died as a result of anorexia.
I have spoken to many people covered in tattoos, and they can tell the whole story of what each tattoo means to them, maybe someone who died, some memory that makes them remember so much that their life story is written on their body. So yes, there is a reason why people have tattoos, it means something to them. But in many cases, these tattoos are about events in a person’s life. Where else some people have good memories in their tattoos.
I am not in any notion suggesting everyone with a tattoo is wrong or crying for help, besides that, I don’t understand why people place tattoos on places like their necks, etc. The same goes for piercings, I have seen a thing or two, but once again it is not a case of me condemning or judging people with excessive piercings, it is just not my personal taste, and something I dislike. You won’t go to Hel for it, my personal opinion is people of this kind are looking for some kind of attention or the sort.
Come as you are, God will take you in no matter what life has thrown at you, come, it does not matter if you have hurt others or yourself, and neither should you believe God allowed you to be hurt, He won’t do that, He is a very just God.
Some might find my words hard to accept, but the Truth is, you have a Heavenly Father who loves you dearly, so much that he put His own Son Jesus Christ on the Cross for you and me.
I am 46 years of age, I was diagnosed with Schizoaffective, Schizophrenia when I was 19. I have been through more than 860 days in mental rehabs, I have endured 32 ECTs “Brainshocks”, 50 plus hospitalizations, and 7 times in ICU for suicide attempts.
It has been 26 years of hell.
Quite recently I wanted to end my life, I took a month’s medication in one shot which is about 500 plus tablets, and landed in a coma for two weeks, and another week in ICU, I was on life support systems, and I almost died.
Schizophrenia is the worst medical condition one can be diagnosed with. As I stated I have a Schizoaffective disorder, which means I am more than just a Schizophrenic, I am bipolar too, including a series of other symptoms like mood swings and paranoia.
I have met the most precious persons in these mental rehabs, they are broken and hurting. I am sure I can tell you many stories of lives that were destroyed through life and life’s choices.
Keep your eyes looking up child of God and know that He Loves you Dearly.
Much Love!
Jaco Basson
