AMAZING!

Now the words “amaze” in itself suggests a certain sense, a reality more “marvellous” beyond belief and human understanding or even perception, a virtue or a certain knowledge that blows us totally away. A matter in hand that you simply never knew even existed, a waiting in keen anticipation to learn more of an infinite God that amazes us even the more so, day by day, if you think you have concluded Who and What God is, that would be pompous and ignorant. When you think you know all there is to know about God, it is exactly then when God surprises us with even the more so.

When matters pertaining to God are mentioned, there are simply no words fathomable in our human dictionary to describe His excellence and greatness. Enough to break out in a state of ecstatic delirium, praise about. Does it not excite your very senses we serve a sovereign God with limitless Power, having the capacitate to take you into His fold? The One who holds your very next breath, your next Heartbeat in the palm of His Hands.

While the world is trying to come to terms with, and in their sincerity try to convince one another “God is a Good God” I think they are making the most sincere error of epic proportions. I personally don’t believe half of the people believe what they are saying when they state: “God is Good”

How can a Good God allow my child to die, or any other loved one for that matter? How could a Good God allow me to be sexually abused as a child? How can a good God allow a miscarriage? How can a Good God allow me to be so vexatiously sick or even bedridden, or any other sickness for that matter?

How could a Good God allow me “Jaco Basson” to endure 27 years of Hell with Schizophrenia, having spent over 860 days in mental rehabs, endured 32 ECTs “brainshocks” hospitalized 50 plus times, 7 times in ICU for suicide attempts and yet still believe God is amazing? Your argument may be: “Jaco, if God is so amazing, why did you try to commit suicide 7 times and then landed in ICU?”

Quite recently I wanted to end my life, so I swallowed a month’s medication of about 500 tablets in one shot. They rushed me to the hospital, I was in a coma for two weeks and an extra week in ICU for recovery, I was on a ventilator and life support systems hanging on a thread of life or death. Thank God I survived that ordeal.

If you have the faintest clue or idea what Schizophrenia is about, then you will understand me more soundly. I guess I might just enlighten you that part of Schizophreina is hearing voices, these voices can be aggressively abusive and would blaspheme the Holy Spirit profusely beyond belief with words I don’t think you would even find in a dictionary, they would describe to me how they are abusing the Holy Spirit sexually, how on earth am I supposed to live with that, if I may ask? How would you handle it, nonstop for 27 years? Ask yourself that question, and then try to question my intent for suicidal behavior. Pastor Theuns Blom walked a 27-year road with me, he knows exactly why I tried to commit suicide.

Which amazes me that I am still alive.

Getting back to my suicide attempts, it is for my very sincere Love for The Holy Spirit that I tried to end my life, period. It would take no effort to climb on a chair and hang myself, but thank God, I am now on the correct medication and I have a sound mind, all it took was 27 years of my life, friends. The devil knows my “soft spot” and that is my deep-found sincere love for the Holy Spirit, once the devil discovers a weak spot in the fence, he will keep on hitting on the same spot without cease.

I hear no more voices, zip!

And I think it is more than just the correct medication, I think God said: “Enough is enough”. Yes, I think I can say: “I am healed from Schizophrenia, but I will never stop my medication”

And no, I am not demon possessed, no demon to drive out here. I am Holy Spirit filled with the evidence of speaking in tongues. As I sit here behind my computer I can feel and sense the tangible Holy Spirit on me, and that is exactly why Satan hates me so much.

You can fool others about yourself, but you can’t fool the devil when he sees the power of God on you.

I cling to dear life, why? I hold a certain intimate knowledge of God that is epic miles beyond just a Good God but one to be amazed. I Love The Lord with my whole Heart, Soul and Strength. I discovered the Kingdom of God friends. It is like a man finding a treasure in a field and in his joy, goes and sells all he owns and buys that field. It is like a merchant in search of a fine pearl, when he finds it, he sells all he owns, in order to have that pearl.

We live in a broken world of pain, some have dark glasses on and observe everything dimly so, take off the darkened glasses and see that God is not just Good, He is MARVELLOUSLY AMAZING! I think the words “amazing” and “marvel” are very similar, both in essence suggesting a reality beyond belief. To marvel at something is a deeply struck view of God and something to admire deeply.

Honestly speaking, so many find it a very hard thing to forgive God for past events and things that took place in their lives, they perceive not only that God is not Good, even the lesser that He is Amazing!

It is then of note to see not just a Good God at the very least, but a God who is simply amazing, a sincere marvel.

There can be much doubt pertaining to this view of God, of course, God is Good, but if that is all you can see, then you are missing out on the bigger picture.

Sincerely, this is more than a Good God friend. Now let us consider this, Jesus did not die to prove a point, He came to save us from eternal demise. He knew full well the penalty for our sins in such fashion that He was led as a Lamb to the slaughter. No less the same, the Father’s Love, putting His only begotten on the Cross, we will never understand the greater mystery beyond this all, maybe one day in Heaven.

The prestige of his Glory is beyond the fathoming of the human intellect. Peter, one of Jesus’ disciples tried to stop Jesus from enduring the cross, the Lord’s response was: “Peter, you think as men thinks, not as God thinks, and the conversation ends with Jesus saying to Peter: “The devil is speaking through you, “Get ye behind me, Satan”.

If we had to encapsulate the whole Old Testament and the prophets, it is in fact ALL about Jesus Christ and points to the coming of The Messiah. John the Baptist, one like none will ever be, deemed himself not even worthy to baptize Jesus, he said: “It is I that need baptism of you, and yet you come to me, Jesus’ response was: “This must be so that all righteousness be fulfilled.

If all you have to think of God as good, then you are seriously mistaken and lost the scope of the greater scheme of His unlimited Glory.

How can you look at all the scapes of creation and say God is Good, how can you carry a child, from fertilization in the fallopian tube, embryonic development, fetal development, being fed intravenously by the mother, and better still, give birth to the child and hear the first cry? How on planet earth can we then rob God by just saying He is Good?

If this is your summation conclusion of God, then a part of you needs help.

When was the last time you looked outside your window, every blade of grass of the fields, each sparrow singing along the cheer of a Heavenly abode? The vast oceans and their intricate sea life, the tides and the seasons, the joy of summer bringing an array of life and abundance in sheer ecstasy, as the seasons progress to winter, the snowflakes, not one single flake the same, yet they are uncountable.

The jungles and forrests, yet the same, many species not yet fully documented, the birdlife, the insect life, the whole of the animal kingdom, enough itself to blow one away, lets take the sun for example, If the Sun were even slightly closer to Earth, the planet would experience a significant increase in temperature, leading to melting glaciers, rising sea levels, and potentially making large portions of the planet uninhabitable.

If the sun were slightly further away, Earth would experience a significant cooling effect, potentially leading to an ice age, longer years, and a reduction in the amount of sunlight reaching our planet.

Let’s take the oxygen we breathe, it just happens to be the exact mixture of gases, primarily nitrogen (78%) and oxygen (21%), with trace amounts of other gases like argon, carbon dioxide, and water vapor, to make it possible for life to prosper on earth.

Let’s take your fingerprint, none like yours anywhere in the world. Your DNA, nearly every cell in the human body has the same DNA. Your DNA string is so extremely unique that crime labs use DNA profiling for investigation efforts. There is a DNA database where these crime labs can get a hit and find the offender easily.

You know, I don’t know what Don Moen tried to teach the world with “God is Good, and all the time, God is Good” in a fraction of a sense that might be in its very minuscule minority be the correctness but does not shiver not touch nor even pickle to embark on the greatness and awesomeness of a God that place and names each new born star in its unified orbit of infinite galaxy’s with giant nebula clouds of dust and gas in space. Some nebulae (more than one nebula) come from the gas and dust thrown out by the explosion of a dying star, such as a supernova. Other nebulae are regions where new stars are beginning to form.

How in your straight mind can you holistically look at all God has done for us, and then come to the sincere determination “O yeah, that’s Good?”

Jesus Christ, the rank supreme Power at the Right Hand of the Father executes righteousness and justice, constantly interceding on our behalf with the witness of the Greatest fathomable Gift of all “The Holy Spirit” calling as witness and now we have access in fellowship with the Living God, and an absolute marvel.

In Heaven, neither day nor night, for Christ is the Light of the Holy City, we will walk the streets of gold and precious stones. Where the lion lies down with the lamb, there will be no more weeping or mourning ever again.

Whether God created the earth in literal six days, I seriously question, I tend to believe that this was a task of epic proportions to its finest details and its grandeur, that He took His time, fearfully and wonderfully we have been created, in like manner we need to adorn God fearfully and wonderfully. So that answers my opinion, I think it took 6000 years. For it is written: “With God, one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day.”

If all you observe is a Good God, then you are sincerely mistaken, He is simply amazing, and amazing can not paint in full view the painting of His most Gracious Majesty and supreme excellence.

Who of you has ever gone a day without food?

The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 6:25-32:

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

We serve a very jealous God, He won’t allow you to give of yourself to other “things” in your life, whether it be sports, or any other mentionable criteria. The one and only reason why He is deemed to be our first priority is simply because He is worthy of such.

We serve a marvellous Big God. Love Him, that is all He wants from us, in so much that He made this the first of the two epic commandments. He deserves to be loved because He loved you so much that He sacrificed His Only Son for you, if you need evidence of God’s Love, consider the work on the Cross, don’t you dare perceive all God has done for you and deem Him only as Good.

He is MARVELLOUSLY AMAZING!
